A body has been successfully recovered by the AIBB, from the wreckage of the plane that crashed in the English Channel which had Cardiff City striker Emiliano Sala on board with his pilot.

The UK's Air Accidents Investigation Branch (AAIB) confirmed late on Wednesday night that the victim, who is yet to be publicly identified, will now be passed to the Dorset Coroner, having been recovered with the help of specialist contractors.

The Piper Malibu aircraft disappeared with Sala and pilot David Ibbotson on board on January 21 after it took it's flight from France.

A private search was launched by Emiliano Sala family, as the funding was backed by donations from the public, after government authorities announced their initial efforts to find the plane and the wreckage was found under water on Sunday, 24 nautical miles north west of Guernsey.

The AAIB said that one of the occupants was visible through the Marine remote control vechile which was used for the search.
The remains of the planeand have now confirmed that a recovery has been successful.

However, it said attempts to retrieve the aircraft have been stopped due to bad weather, as soon it will recover all parts of the aircraft.
