DJ Solvieg Begs Ballon D'or Winner Over Twerk Issue

Women's Ballon d'Or Winner Ada Hegerberg Shuts Down DJ for 'Twerk' Request

Monday was a historic day for women's football as Ada Hegerberg became the first woman to be awarded a Ballon d’Or award, and this brought about praises to her.
But the evening was scattered by an inappropriate comment from the presenter of the award who was Martin Solveig.

Hegerberg, who plays for Olympique Lyonnais in France, was asked to twerk in the public by the famous DJ just moments after being awarded the female ballon d'or winner.

The Norwegian star shut down Solveig with a straight "No" before leaving the stage immediately in anger.

Moments later, DJ Solveig took to Twitter to apologize, adding that the situation was a misunderstanding as she never got him clearly but took it personal.

He Wrote On Twitter :-
"Sincere apologies to the one I may have offended.
My point was: I don’t invite women to twerk but dance on a Sinatra song. Watch the full sequence.
People who have followed me for 20 years know how respectful I am especially with women.

He later re tweeted by tweeting: "I explained to Ada Hegerberg the buzz and she told me she understood it was a joke. Nevertheless my apologies to anyone who may have been offended.
Most importantly congratulations to Ada."
